Pregnant? We Are Here to help

Unplanned pregnancy is confusing and can come with many emotions. To make things more confusing, common pregnancy symptoms such as missed period, nausea, and vomiting do not always mean you are pregnant. Confirming your pregnancy and assessing your options is an important step to empower yourself to making the right choice.

Confirm you are really pregnant.

Come in for a pregnancy test.

Determine how far along you are and viability.

Knowing this information will determine what abortion procedures are available, and whether the abortion pill would work. An ultrasound at our clinic will determine these factors, while Planned Parenthood would charge for these services.

Know your options.

You may be wondering if abortion is right for you, how much an abortion would cost, when to get an abortion, where to get an abortion, whether you can use the abortion pill at home, and many more questions. This is a confusing time, but you are not alone! Our abortion information consultations will empower you to make your choice with confidence.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ABORTION PILL?

When to take the abortion pill:

The abortion pill is normally used before the tenth week of pregnancy. An ultrasound will be able to determine what weekyou are in.

How the abortion pill differs from the morning after pill:

Plan B is a pill taken less than 72 hours after having unprotected sex. It works by preventing the fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus. The abortion pill expels a fetus which has already been implanted.

How the abortion pill works, and what drugs are used in the process:

The abortion pill is a two step process. The first pill is given at a clinic visit. This thins the lining of the uterus to cause the fetus not to stay implanted. The second drug, taken at home 24-48 hours after the first pill. This causes the uterus to contract and expel the fetus.

Side effects of the abortion pill:

There are several side effects to keep in mind when considering the abortion pill such as cramps and bleeding. There are occasionally more serious side effects such as vomiting, diarrhea and severe hemorrhaging.
